Laughter In The Rain

Yesterday the weather was gloomy and rainy and even though I almost had on head to toe black just knowing that Christmas was right around the corner made everything better. I love this time of year!

Holiday Sparkle!

Since this is Christmas week, I decided to jazz up my regular work attire with a little sparkle shirt I have not styled yet. Normally I would only wear this kind of top on New Year's but one of my resolutions for 2012 is to be bolder when it comes to fashion choices so why not start now.

Another item I have not worn yet (but fought really hard for) are my Mossimo for Target heels. I am sure many people remember that the day the line launched- stores were completely sold out and the website crashed BUT I did manage to get my hands on these shoes. They are surprisingly comfy for the heel height...worth every minute of refreshing the Target website for almost 1.5 hours!

Hello...Poncho

We had an early Christmas celebration this past Saturday and this is what I wore. I bought this poncho top a couple of months ago and this is the first time I have worn it. I wanted to be comfortable while eating lunch and opening presents and since this top is flowy- it was the perfect choice.

All I Want For Christmas...

Sorry I have been so sporadic about posting this week. I left my camera tripod at my parents house during Thanksgiving and it has been a nightmare living without it. A huge thanks to my husband for taking pictures so far but I cannot wait until Christmas when I get it back. We have different work schedules and it doesn't allow us to snap photos every day like I am use to.

All I want for Christmas is my tripod!

Summer Dress In The Winter

I have a ton of short sleeve and sleeveless dresses. In order for me to use all of my closet during the colder months, I have to start getting more and more creative.

This outfit was really simple and requires little effort but such an easy way to winterize a summer dress. Just throw on a denim jacket, winter scarf and some cowboy boots and a perfect casual day outfit is born.

What I Got This Week

This week I got a ton of Christmas shopping completed and most of it was done online. I find online shopping so much easier and more effective than going out to the actual stores and dealing with all the people AND traffic.

1. If you have not read my post about the amazing Old Navy jeggings do that now...I bought the marshmallow white color on Monday to add to my growing collection.

2. I was at my salon earlier this week and I mentioned wanting a berry color lipstick. I was shown the Bare Minerals Pretty Amazing line and decided to give it a try. The product is a gloss and lipstick combo and I got the Ambition and Strength colors and love them both.

3. Since my husband picked out and designed his own gift for Christmas, I guess I can add that to my list of things I bought this week. He did the Customize with Nikeid and designed his own pair of tennis shoes. A great gift if you are still undecided what to get your dad, brother, husband, boyfriend, etc.

That's about all I can reveal since I don't want to spoil any surprises about what I got my other family members. Have a great weekend!

Pinterest Inspiration...

While I was browsing through Pinterest the other day (follow me here) I came across a casual, chic look from the fabulous Keiko Lynn. Since I wear jeans most of the time on the weekend I thought it was a perfect look for me to try. I used my boyfriend jeans and finally pulled out my brand new pink loafers (I got them for $9.99 I might add) and voila! Don't forget to check out Keiko's look; my source of inspiration.

The Rock Star Jeggings

Normally I don't purchase something and then write a product review about it, but Old Navy has a jean I have gone nuts over!

The Rock Star Jegging has a super skinny fit and also has tons of stretch so you will be comfortable all day long. The classic 5-pocket styling and button closure and zip fly look like a regular pair of jeans but they feel like you are wearing a pair of sweat pants. They are body hugging through the hip and thigh and end right at the angle so you can wear them with boots or flats.

I opted to size up in these jeggings so they would be even more comfy than they already are and could not be more pleased. As of right now I have 4 different colors of The Rock Star Jegging....and counting.

A must have item for your closet!

Bring On The Holidays!

Yesterday was my work Christmas party and it was so much fun. All we did was eat and put up decorations inside the office...my kindda day!

I have worn this little black dress so many ways so to make it more casual for work I just added a cardigan, scarf and my flat boots. The holidays create a need for elastic pants and comfy dresses so expect more where this comes from.

Murder Mystery Style: Pasta, Passion & Pistols

On Friday night a group of friends got together for a murder mystery party and we had to dress in character.

A little bit of the plot-Four days ago restaurateur Guiseppi (Pepi) Roni was found murdered in the kitchen of his renowned New York City eatery, La Sperenza. Pepi had been found shot in the back with his own pistol. Tonight, his family and friends have gathered to pay their respects to poor Pepi and eat a feast of Italian food in his honor. One of them is the murderer.

I played the part of Tara Misu and all I knew about my character was she dressed to kill and flaunts her charm shamelessly. I decided to wear sparkles, sparkles, and more sparkles with a little bit of fur thrown in.

Who was the killer....you have to play the game to find out!

What I Got This Week...

I have only shopped at Lulu's once or twice before but for some reason yesterday I decided to browse the website. Thank goodness I did because as soon as I saw the Next in Line Green Handbag I knew it was meant to be. I just could NOT wait for Christmas....that color, the hardware, a snap on shoulder adjustable strap! I ordered it immediately-Merry Christmas to me!
