So yesterday the husband and I drove an hour and ten minutes away to go custom make a couch...true story. It's the first time I have ever custom made a piece of furniture and it was really fun going through all the fabrics and different pieces of couch we could piece together.

  I am officially getting old. 

Speaking of getting old, we are going to a New Year's party tonight and the dress code is pajama's!  I.Can't.Wait

I have always wanted a motorcycle jacket and think they look so cool with skinny jeans and boots but never have gotten around to buying one for myself.  When this Gwynnie Bee jacket came in the mail I was super excited to style it.

One of the easiest ways to dress up a LBD for the holidays is just add red (or green) tights.  I love the lace sleeves of this dress, such a fun added detail.

Yesterday my husband, in-laws and I drove to Cookeville, TN to celebrate Christmas with his extended family.  I wanted to be comfortable (cause let's be honest-I was gonna be eating A LOT) and somewhat stylish so distressed denim, a over sized sweater and booties was my perfect outfit.

I sized up on this Target sweater (linked up above) so I can also wear it long and stretched out with leggings and knee high boots.  Also...these Old Navy distressed jeans are everything!

Another holiday look up on the blog.

This metallic dress is both stylish and comfortable which is always a win-win in my book.  I love that it is a lightweight knit material yet still is body-skimming if that makes any sense at all.  Perfect amount of shimmer and sparkle for your next Christmas party.

I know I talked about Gwynnie Bee before on the blog but I am really digging the concept of this site!  It has allowed me to try a variety of (mostly) dresses with the option to buy if I really end up liking them.  It has also made me not shop as much cause I am getting new-to-me items every week in the mail.  

The one thing I have purchased lately is my new Nordstrom bag.  I have been on the lookout for a cheaper alternative to the Valentino leather tote and found this awesome look alike for $54 bucks...pretty close huh?
